About the Initiative

A Unique Community Initiative

Welcome to our community-wide initiative dedicated to the well-being of primary school children in Greystones and Delgany. Born out of genuine concerns expressed by teachers and parents regarding increasing anxiety levels among our young students, we’ve placed the well-being of our children at the very core of our effort.

Central to our initiative is to equip children, guardians, and parents with essential well-being and digital awareness skills, including supporting age-appropriate smartphone use.

We firmly believe it takes a community to support behaviour change rather than relying solely on parents and teachers.

Leadership and Collaboration

Initially led by Rachel Harper, Principal at St. Patrick's National School in Greystones, in collaboration with all eight primary schools in the Greystones and Delgany communities, we are dedicated to working collaboratively to support children’s overall well-being and digital awareness.

Our Vision extends to encompass parents across eight primary schools, and it is also supported by the principals of the three secondary schools in Greystones – Temple Carrig School, St. David’s Holy Faith and Greystones Community College.

It is a separate and independent initiative that operates under the umbrella of Greystones Town Team CLG, a registered not-for-profit organisation.

Our Mission is working together as a community to support and empower primary school children, parents, guardians and teachers with essential well-being and digital awareness skills through collaborative initiatives, innovative workshops and practical support.

Join us in making a difference in the lives of the young students in our community. Together, we can nurture a brighter, more resilient future.
