The topic for this workshop is The impact of Smartphones on our children’s personal, social and sexual development. Our special guest for this event, Eoghan Cleary, serves on the Board of Directors of the Dublin Rape Crisis Centre, with a particular focus on the development of their RSE-related educational material. He is author of Gill’s new set of SPHE textbooks. After campaigning for years to get porn literacy skills onto the Junior Cycle Curriculum he continues to provide talks to parents, school teachers and government agencies because child ownership of smartphones is now causing related issues that must be dealt with at primary school level on a countrywide basis.
